Prego Report

Heeeey. You know how it's almost May? Then it will be June... then July...?! Crazy stuff, man. Especially because I'll be having a BABY in July. Maybe even June, who knows.
My official due date is July 12th. And it's coming right up.

So how is the pregnancy going, you ask? Well it sure is exciting. Josh and I really do already love the girl. She seems crazy strong- I don't remember goobs being so strong so early on. It seems like a month ago she just discovered what kicking and punching REALLY mean and she's made me yelp out in pain various times. I had an appointment yesterday and all is well- bp, heartbeat, measurements- all great.

Soooo other than it being amazing, it's been really hard...
I have the best, most loving husband a girl could possibly dream of, and the funnest, smartest little boy in the world who fills my heart with joy every day. Seriously, there is NOTHING like watching a little one understand more and more about the world around them and be able to teach them and nourish a loving relationship. There is nothing like a little one walking up to you and give you a hug and a kiss. I seriously love the affectionate little goobs emerging.

So besides being exciting and great, the pregnancy has been getting pretty frustrating for me. The most frustrating thing is the severe pain I have going on. It officially hurts to walk all the time now. I have very loose, stretched out ligaments causing my pubic bone to be loose. It's called symphysis pubis dysfunction (TMI?). Lifting up one leg and putting it back down- to put on pants or step in the tub- is insanely painful. Lifting as I'm bent over, like helping goobs down stairs, is something that I just can't do. So it's been rough! The house is messy more often than not, and I'm so behind on all these projects I wanted to do. I just can't do much and it's tough. I know I should just rest it up all the time but it really does get old fast. After sitting for awhile I look around and see all there is to do, so I usually push through the pain and do a few things and then feel pretty sore. It's a vicious cycle.

The doctor said I need to get one of those belly support belts. I pretty much have to get on that like now.

So yeah, that's what's going on.

I'll try to post a belly pic soon.. I'm getting pretty huge.

Mr. Funny Guy

Our little goob has turned into ham #1.

He has such a great sense of humor. He absolutely gets that he's being funny and knows how to make you laugh.

There is NO way I can totally capture his hilarity.

But here is just the teeniest tiniest bit of proof of how funny he is.

Kamikaze goobs-

The boy is crazy. He also does this with bowls and anything else that can go over his head.

Dancing goobs-

Ok, so this isn't the best dance video- he gets way more into sometimes. Just a little taste.

Chillin' in the drawer goobs-

I know this one isn't toooo crazy but it makes me laugh. What a little cutie.

He just gets so crazy wild sometimes these days. He loves to yell and yell for no reason, while crazily flapping his arms.
He loves to play it cool when he falls down and just lay on the ground for a minute, smiling.
He loves to climb up on the armchair and sit like a big boy-- he's such a climber now!

I feel like some of these things are "normal" toddler things and some of them aren't, ha... I think we'll have a really goofy guy on our hands. We already do!

I'm SO grateful to have two guys in my life who make me laugh (hard) every single day.

Word to my homies

I am a lucky girl.

My friend Erika threw me a great baby shower last Saturday. The woman is just amazing- I'm seriously still speechless that she did it for me. Even though it's not enough, a HUGE thank you to her.

Check out the lovely photos of the shower on her blog- HERE.

I SO appreciate the peeps who came and everyone who has been so generous with me and my little fetus. It's really overwhelming how good people are to me... I know most of my friends aren't exactly rollin' in it, and the lovely things they have gotten me kinda make me want to cry with gratitude... that is all.

People Who Get It

A lot of quotes and sayings out there I think are lame.

But these ones aren't. They are so good.

I enjoy finding quotes that resonate with me and inspire me to be better and just ring true. That sounds cheesy!... but it's true.

Growing up I was never that into quotes... like at all- but I guess as I get older I have more and more convictions about life and what it's all about.
I feel like some people get what life is all about, and some don't.

Marjorie Hinckley and C.S. Lewis get it fo sho.

I love every part of this.

<Sorry about the weird format of this one>

                                          Am I right?!

Marjorie Pay Hinckley - “I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived.”

Love this. We are all so obsessed with looking good and those dang material things. Its ok to want to look nice and want nice things.. but it's better to be focused on those small but so much more important things. That's what matters in the end. I sure need to work on this mentality.

I like this because it help me keep that ultra-important eternal perspective.

Good stuff.
